Future Farm Investment Scheme

The Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Islands made several announcements at the Royal Highland Show. This included information about the Future Farm Investment Scheme (FFIS), which has an indicative budget allocation for this application window of £14 million.
FFIS is a capital grant scheme designed to help farmers and crofters in Scotland improve the environmental performance of their agricultural business. The scheme offers upfront funding to ensure all agricultural businesses have access to capital support to allow them to carry out capital investment(s) that will help deliver this.
The application window will open on the 14th of July 2025 and close on the 22nd of August 2025. Therefore, we encourage clients to consider and plan for this funding scheme quickly.
