Three New Directors: Jenni Douglas, Frances Reid, Sarah Mason

Following a busy 2022 with the acquisition of two new companies and company expansion throughout Scotland, FBRSeed is delighted to announce they have recently appointed three long-standing members of the team as Directors.

Jenni Douglas, Frances Reid and Sarah Mason bring with them a host of industry experience and unique areas of expertise to the existing five-strong management team.

Joining Seed & Co in 2013, having previously worked with FBR Ltd since 2008, Jenni’s most recent position within the firm has been as a Senior Surveyor servicing clients throughout Scotland on Policy, Land Management Schemes and other rural matters.

Jenni is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), a Registered Valuer and a Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV) and has more recently become an accredited farm business adviser through LANTRA’s Farm Business Adviser Accreditation Scheme for Scotland (FBAASS). In addition to this, she is an agent for the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC) where on behalf of her clients she undertakes loan applications and valuations.

Out with the firm, Jenni is on various local committees, most notably Junior Vice President of the South of Scotland & Borders Valuers Association (SSBVA) and Vice Chairperson of Kelso Agricultural Discussion Society.

Following her recent promotion to Director, Jenni, based in the Kelso office, will lead the FBRSeed team on everything from carbon audits to government policies, environmental schemes, and biodiversity.

Also receiving a promotion to Director is Frances Reid. Frances, a part-qualified accountant, has been with the firm for 22 years, having first joined the Seed & Co team in 2001, and brings a wealth of bookkeeping, budgeting and cashflow management experience and knowledge in her role as Account Manager.

Over the years, Frances has delivered an invaluable service to several of FBRSeed’s key customers and traditional estate clients. As well as her role as Account Manager and PA to the Managing Director, Frances will be heading up HR for FBRSeed and aiding clients with this crucial department.

The third member of the FBRSeed team promoted to Director is Senior Surveyor, Sarah Mason. Sarah joined FBR Ltd in 2015, ahead of the merger with Seed & Co, and has vast knowledge and experience in valuations, sales, acquisitions, leasing and property development across Scotland and Northern England.

Sarah holds a first-class honours degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management from Harper Adams and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a Registered Valuer. Based in Angus, Sarah heads up the northern division and in her new position as Director, will focus mainly on property, land and farm sales. Sarah is also an agent for the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation and will be working to strengthen this service in the north of Scotland.

Jenni, Frances and Sarah join Stewart Seed, who was also appointed as Director in 2022, bringing the board to a total of eight highly experienced members with a great depth and variety of experience.
